Did the final glueup today. The bench is now completely assembled! My birthday is Monday, so by then I want to have the top flattened. A few other things I still need to do:
- make the crochet
- make the leg vise
- finish it (BLO)
- install a shelf and maybe a drawer
- make the Moxon double-screw vise
But once I have the top flattened, I’ll consider the bench to be done, really. Picture to come at that time!

Wow! Super-impressive!!!
(You win. Although I’m hoping to move the “uncle bench” this weekend. Unless it rains.
But you still win.)

Eric, OK — **finally** brought the uncle bench home!

You still win, though. Beat me handily. Clearly, it’s faster to build a workbench from scratch than it is to move it two blocks from a relative’s house.

Well I don’t know that I win. At least I don’t feel like a winner – I still haven’t flattened the top!!!

Looks great. I know the final details take the longest time. I’ve been using my bench for over a year now and I still have to finish a few details like correcting a error in the wagon block.
